‘Troy Creeps’ is the new single from New York-based dream pop duo Laveda. It’s filled with a certain sense of intimate nostalgia that feels like it’s been lifted straight from a coming-of-age film. Simple, rigid rhythms underpin an emotive, melancholy lead vocal that bursts into life just in time for the catchy chorus. On the track’s genesis, Jake Brooks says: “When I made this demo I had just moved to a small apartment in Troy, NY. You could always hear everyone’s conversations if they were outside on that street. People were screaming at each other about something while I was recording so the name stuck.” This is the fourth track from their eagerly awaited second album, A Place You Grew Up In, which is due for release on April 14th, 2023. -Dan Peeke
